The use of the “N” I remember hearing often as a child. The kids in the neighborhood use the “N” word to refer to me whenever we disagreed. They knew that calling me the “N” word would invoke rage in me. I remember swelling up with anger and being hurt, always preparing to fight.
Today things have changed. The “N” word has become common amongst our young people. When I was growing up the “N” word was used to describe black people. Now many times its used as a term of endearment.
Please stop calling each other the “N” word your hurting our parents and grandparents. When you use the “N” word you shatter and destroy relationships that have taken many years to build.
African American has been called the “N” word during slavery. Our people both black and white have worked hard to change the attitudes of many. Realize our struggle by thinking hard before you call someone the “N” word.
My hope is to encourage you to stop calling each other the “N” word. Racism is deadly and useless we must leave it behind and make America a better place to live.
